There have been changes made to the fines concerning late cards and meeting attendance as agreed at the AGM by those in attendance, this will be posted as soon as possible
The league fees remain at £45:00
The next league meeting will be held on Thursday 19th MARCH The venue is Bewdley with a 7pm start.
Wolverley bowling club have kindly negotiated with the bar at the social club and visiting bowls teams can now receive club member rates for drinks, tell the server that you are in the visiting team and they can give you the member rates using a card kept behind the bar.
Many thanks to Woverly bowling club for making this possible.
SCORE CARDS - we have been having problems with score cards, next year there will be one What's app (07912 033992) and one email address for them to be sent to, k.bills@me.com, when received you will get a "Thank you" reply, if you do not get this I probably wont have received it. Also please fill in dates, venues, and totals etc. Most of you do but some of these have been missing this year. Late cards cause incorrect or late league tables. Do not send score cards to any other WA or email addresses please as they may be deemed late.
The score cards now have both the WA and email address printed on them.
FINES FOR NON ATTENDANCE OF MEETINGS DUE:-
LATE SCORE CARD FINES :
If anyone knows of a friend or colleague who is interested in bowling and could make up a new team, especially on Saturdays, there are a few greens who can accommodate extra teams.
To all those with concerns about the score cards, the season now starts the day after I return from my holidays so the new fine system will come into force from week one.
SQUIRREL TRIPLES THIS YEAR WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY THE 6TH OF SEPTEMBER 2026
There will be only one division on Saturdays this year and two on Sundays
1. Saturday start times were agreed to now start at 5:30pm instead of 5:00pm.
2. One delegate per club is now to be accepted at the meetings, i.e. a club with four teams only needs one delegate from any of those teams to attend.
3. All players now only need to have played two league matches, in the first half of the season prior to playing in the final and must be registered with the team.
4. ALL other rules remain as before, the length playable hs been defined better to avoid confusion
The yard on rule has been re-instated.
Wolverley has also asked if there is anyone interested in forming a Saturday or a Sunday team to please get in touch with them.
There is a new team starting this year from Cookley in the Sunday league - Cookley St Peters
Welcome to all their players from the league
